Throughout the year, we have actively supported more than 100 organizations through donations, in-kind contributions, sponsorships and volunteer activities including the American Heart Association Go Red for Women® campaign.
Believing that caring is best shown through actions, Chesapeake has established programs for employees that encourage active, engaged caring.
Chesapeake employees joined Governor Jack Markell and dozens of other volunteers at Legislative Hall in Dover, Delaware to raise awareness about statewide food insecurities and hunger issues. Volunteers assembled 5,200 “backpack” meals to help feed over 5,000 students.
With the support of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation’s donation of $30,000 to the Food Bank of Delaware, 165 Chesapeake employee volunteers and their family members were able to package and distribute 1,000 holiday meals providing “Thanksgiving for All.”
As a team, we continue to deliver results that have outperformed many of our peers.
