Best Workplaces for Flexibility

Published together with our partner, Fortune, the Best Workplaces for Flexibility is a “best of the best” ranking. The winners come from the universe of companies who are certified this year by Great Place to Work® as great workplaces and have published Great Place to Work Reviews, meaning they are serious about creating a great workplace and comfortable with transparency.

To create this list, Great Place to Work® surveys current employees who answer a detailed questionnaire considering everything from the support their employer shows for people's lives outside work, the flexibility they have to take time off, the degree of trust management shows for independent work, and the extent to which employees have the communication and resources they need to work effectively. Employees rate their companies on 58 questions total, including an overall assessment of whether the company is a great place to work.

To select the list, Great Place to Work considers those companies with formal programs offering flexible schedules, compressed workweeks, job sharing and telecommuting opportunities to the largest share of their employees. The final ranking from among these companies is based on employees' feedback on all 58 survey questions, with special emphasis on those survey statements reflecting employers' support for employees' personal lives and independent, effective work.
